TAP® Insulation contains a borate-based pest control treatment that targets labeled household insects when they come into contact with the insulation. At the same time, the cellulose insulation helps improve thermal and acoustical performance in the attic.
Does TAP® replace my current insulation?
It depends on the condition of your existing attic insulation. In some cases, TAP can be installed over existing insulation to improve coverage and performance. If your current insulation is damaged, contaminated, or no longer effective, removal may be recommended before installation.
What pests does TAP® help protect against?
TAP® Insulation is labeled to control a variety of household insects, including ants, cockroaches, silverfish, termites—including Formosan termites—and other listed pests that may enter attic and wall spaces. TAP® does not control rodents or wildlife.
